Art was always my favorite subject. My grandmother was an artist and illustrator and she taught me the basics as a young child. She was especially supportive of my love of clothing and taught me how to draw outfits - sort of like paper dolls but with changing clothes. Now I use that skill to create costumes.
I went on to earn a BFA from CU Boulder in drawing and painting. My artsy-ness goes beyond the easel. I love making costumes for my kids, painting murals, heading up art projects for their classes and finding crafty solutions around the house.
